A silver Vauxhall VX220 on track

Privacy

This is a hobby site for VX220 and Opel Speedster owners. It keeps as little about you as it can. This page says what is stored, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

If you just read the guides

Nothing is stored about you. The site uses privacy-friendly visitor counts that don't set tracking cookies or follow you around the web. If you use the guide search, what you typed is kept as an anonymous list of search terms, so we can see which guides are missing.

If you create an account

Your car's VIN and registration

The site only records the last four digits of a car's VIN, which is its build number. It does not store full VINs or registration numbers. Please don't put either in a claim note or a suggested edit.

The register was first built from owners' lists published online. The original line for each car from those lists (colour, country and similar details) is kept as reference text. It isn't shown to visitors, and only admins and the car's current owner can see it.

Who looks after the data

The site runs on Vercel, the data is held in Supabase, and email is sent through a standard email provider. Only the site's admins can see account email addresses.

Seeing, changing or deleting your data

Log in and open Account to change your name, email or password, or to delete your account. Deleting it removes your login, pending claims and suggested edits. Cars you owned stay in the list as history, but your name is no longer linked to an account. If you want something else removed, such as a photo or your name from a car's history, get in touch.
